Quiet Time

It is quiet here in the Cottage today.  It has been raining here on and off for about 24 hours.  My neighbor told me this morning that we had about an inch of rain. It has been a nice gentle rain and one that we needed.  Our plants, trees and vegetables were parched from the high heat of 106 degrees for three weeks.  Now the soil and all the plant life looks so refreshed this morning. I have some vegetable soup simmering on the stove, and the smell is filling the house with warm goodness.  My little friends are being lazy and enjoying the day.
Jaque' is all curled up in the arm chair, I wonder what hes dreaming about...

Andre is on the sofa, just thinking it over...

Posted by PicasaAs I was having my quiet time this morning, I was reminded how our spirit can be dry and parched when we are so busy with our lives that we don't take the time to nourish our spirit. Just take a few minutes and let the love of God fill your Spirit and know that no matter where you are in life today, God is right there with you and He will give you direction, courage and wisdom to continue to move forward.
May your blessing today be as loving and gentle as a much needed rain.
Remember "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13

  4. As I read your post, I started thinking how much my life mimics nature...there are periods when my soul is parched and in need of God. And then, something changes and my spirit is totally full.
