The Berry Patch

When we began to develop our garden area here at the cottage we knew we wanted a berry patch.  We have several berry types, but our Blackberries have given the best harvest this year in all the heat that we have had here.

  2. How I envy people with yards. The berries look delicious, what a beautiful plant! The cobbler looks great too. (Although I have a feeling I'd eat most of the berries before they ever made it to cobbler form.)

  3. I remember my mom sending me and my sister out to pick blackberries for her. We usually ate more then we brought back. hehe She would make the most delicious cobbler with them. Your cobbler sure brought back some good memories.

  4. Miz Helen, your cobbler looks fantastic! How wonderful for you to have blackberry bushes in your garden. I spent the morning with my mother-in-law in the brambles of New Hampshire picking wild blackberries. My arms are skinned and scarred; but, I have almost a gallon of the beauties. It was worth it! Have a great weekend!

  10. Miz Helen, what kind of blackberry bushes did you plant? They don't look like the wild kind we used to have in Cleveland, TX. ;)
