Whats For Dinner 11-9-14

Winter has come to Texas, wow it is wonderful to get all this rain and some nice cool weather. Now it really feels like fall and lots of cozy food coming up. We will be going to the big Farmers Market this week end so I am excited to get some more fresh fall fruit and vegetables. 3. Miz Helen,

As always, I enjoy your postings. The kids here are out of school today and tomorrow for holidays. I was actually thinking about you as I was making a brisket sandwich and send up a thanks for our smoker, since no one makes it here. It is really hard to even find a brisket in the store to cook. But, hubby is getting quite proficient at smoking them. This last one, was really expensive (running almost $4 a pound here when you can find one) because it was a large one, but I pulled out the vacuum sealer and divided it into meal size packages and it is in the freezer. YEAH!

I have been very neglectful of my my blog and the home front lately, but hoping to get a handle on everything and change that this week. Baby steps back to where I was it seems, in more ways than one.

    Thanks for sharing.
