Ice Box Pickled Peaches

My Grandmother often times had pickled peaches setting on the table at meal time, and they were so good and the flavors seemed to blend with whatever she was serving that day. It was fun to go to the peach orchard with her and gather peaches, my gathering consisted of picking the ground peaches and of course I was allowed to eat one. My Grandmother would take that peach and wipe it of with the end of her apron, hold it up look at it, then she would smell of it and say that is a good peach, you can have that one, and it was wonderful! When I am peeling peaches for my pickled peaches there is a smile on my face just remembering those special moments with my grandmother.
