Retro Pumpkin Marshmallow Pie

Retro Pumpkin Marshmallow Pie was first made by my Aunt back in the late 40's and early 50's. She was a wonderful cook and always brought the most delicious dishes to family gatherings. When she passed away her son gave me many of her old recipes and that is where my daughter Robbin and I found this retro recipe. We have made a few changes but the base of the recipe remains the same. One thing for sure that didn't change is the amazing flavor with the most silky filling. I am so happy that we found the recipe, it sure brings back lots of great memories and we made new memories as we made it together.

Cece's Crunchy Top Pecan Pie

When I got this recipe, I thought it was a very unusual pecan pie recipe. It  reminded me of some of the recipes that had come out of the depression years. I knew right away that I would have to try the recipe. A few years ago, Cece, my friend of over 30 years, moved to a lovely area named Pecan Plantation. Every year she has so many pecans that she is kind enough to share with me. This year she sent me some pecans along with a recipe she wanted me to try. She has given me permission to share it with all of you. I added to the recipe in a couple of places and dressed it up a little, this pie is so easy to prepare and absolutely delicious!

Old Fashioned Peach Crisp

When I was a young girl I remember going to the orchard with my Grandmother to gather fresh peaches. I still remember the wonderful fresh smell of the peaches  as we would gather them into the basket. Then back in my Grandmothers kitchen she would make the most delicious peach crisp, oh my goodness the smell of that crisp. Then that first bite of crisp just out of the oven, my Granmother would pour a little fresh cream from the morning's milking onto the crisp. Thinking back on it now, it was a little piece of heaven. This is the recipe that has been passed down to me through the years and although it didn't come out of my Grandmothers wood burning stove, it is still a delicious recipe!
