Slow Cooker Retro Cheesy Chicken

I love my retro recipes, it takes me back when I was a young homemaker and some of the really great meals we had. This is one of those retro recipes that we really enjoy. It is a budget friendly recipe and takes very little time to prepare it for the slow cooker to finish the work. We like to serve this delicious cheesy chicken over steamed rice. Just add a wonderful green salad and it is a great meal. Enjoy!

Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken

Some days are so busy that it is really nice to just load up the slow cooker in the morning and go on with the day. Today that is what I am doing, this Creamy Italian Chicken will cook slowly all day and will make a great dinner sauce for my pasta. This is a very simple recipe that takes just a few ingredients and in the pot for slow cooking. I love having  a go to recipe like this, just for days like today!

Slow Cooker Chicken & Noodles

Slow Cooker Chicken & Noodles is an old fashioned recipe for chicken & noodles that we have placed in the Slow Cooker as a matter of convenience. This recipe is pure comfort and will make any day a little brighter. Recently when my husband was sick with the virus, this is one of the recipes that he enjoyed the most, it is so easy on the tummy and really warms the soul. This is such a simple recipe to put together with a great combination of spices. If you should have any left over, it can be frozen for up to 3 months. We serve it with a simple salad and it is a wonderful meal.

Slow Cooker Southern Pulled Bar-B-Que Chicken

This is truly a great southern recipe that can slow cook all day and be ready for a great meal in the evening. We are taking the pulled chicken today and making very special sandwiches and topping them with some extra Bar-B-Que sauce and some of  Grandmothers Chow Chow , with some of the cooked onions on the side. No other sides will be necessary with this recipe, it is a full meal and delicious!

Slow Cooker Peach Barbecue Chicken

Our Slow Cooker Peach Barbecue Chicken is so delicious and easy to prepare. Our family loves a great peach recipe and this is one of our favorite peach recipes. This is a very simple recipe and one that you can walk away from, come back later and it is ready to serve. If you are serving 2 or 20 this will be a great recipe to have on hand for a real winner on the table.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Cornbread Dressing

Our Slow Cooker Chicken and Cornbread Dressing recipe is one of our favorites this time of the year. We love Chicken and Dressing here at the cottage and this is a great recipe that give's you a lot of freedom while it cooks. My Grandmother used to make a dish very similar to this and I have rolled in all together for the slow cooker.  I like to have this for Sunday Dinner, when we come home from church and open the front door, that amazing smell of warm cozy dressing is slowly following you back to the kitchen.

Crock Pot Buttermilk Chicken

I remember eating a smothered buttermilk chicken at my Grandmothers when I was a young girl,it was so tender you could cut it with a fork, and the flavor was amazing. I was to young to think to write the recipe down, but I do recall her mixing some vegetables together with fresh buttermilk and pouring it over the chicken. It would be in the oven of a wood burning stove for hours, then finally she would take it from the oven and bring it to the table, it was delicious! This is an attempt to make my Grandmothers recipe that none of the family recorded, and to all my daughters and Granddaughters now we have one right here.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

My Chicken Cacciatore is one of those recipes that can be made for a special dinner with friends or a week night family meal. I have been making this recipe for years and my recipe card is about worn out. The dish is full of flavor and very easy to prepare. Just put it together and come back later in the day to a fantastic meal. Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore has  wonderful Italian flavors with a special blend of vegetables. Our friends and family love this dish and hope you will to.

Slow Cooker Big Red Pulled Chicken

If you live in Texas or ever travel through our great state you may want to try a Big Red Soda. I grew up drinking Big Red and have shared it with many friends from out of state. Today you can find Big Red in just about any supermarket. This recipe combines the great flavor of Big Red with some other seasons to make a very tasteful pulled chicken. Slow cooking in the Slow Cooker lets you enjoy all this flavor with very little work. We love this recipe and often times serve it for a party as a slider or as a sandwich for a great family supper.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Casserole

I was shopping at our local general store the other day and I spotted this bright shinny red Crock Casserole Slow Cooker. I stood and looked at it for a very long time thinking, well it could be a Christmas gift, maybe a birthday gift, then remembered it just pasted so that would be a whole year away, what to do? I finished my shopping that day, but the bright shinny red Crock Casserole Slow Cooker never left my mind, has that ever happened to you? Guess what I did last week, yes and here it is filled up with this wonderful Buffalo Chicken Casserole, don't you just love my new toy!
