Baked Hush Puppies

A number of years ago in an effort to prepare and present a healthier menu to my family I developed these baked hush puppies. Part of a good southern menu is catfish, cole slaw, and hush puppies. These are not the same as deep fried Hush Puppies, but they are really good. We find them a great little grab and go snack in addition to a healthier Hush Puppy. I have had several request to publish my recipe so today we have Baked Hush Puppies.  Baked Hush Puppies Mix The Dry Ingredients With Fresh Green Onions Add The Wet Ingredients Bake Baked Hush Puppies Miz Helen's Kitchen 2 cups Corn Meal 1/2 cup flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 Green Onion with the green top chopped 1 garlic clove, minced 2 eggs 1 cup milk Mix all the dry ingredients together with the onion and garlic. Add the milk and eggs and mix well. Drop by the tablespoon onto a well oiled baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 m...
