We have been so busy here at the cottage with Christmas activities and parties for the season. Last weekend I had a few friends over for Hot Chocolate and Cookies an old fashioned get together with some old friends, we had so much fun! This week we are getting ready for the big parade and the official arrival of Santa of course, who always makes an appearance at the parade, really I'm the biggest kid at the parade! We are expecting some guest this week so we will be planning a fun meal plan to allow us time to spend with them.

The Irish Eyes Are Shinning here this week, we love the week of St. Patrick's Day here at the cottage. We always have fun remembering our Irish heritage and all the wonderful family food and stories that have been passed down through the years.We have family visiting this week so we will have a fun week of celebration!

I sure hope that all of you had a great Thanksgiving. We had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends, it was such a special time I am always sad to see all of them leave. What an exciting week end we are having.  We are surprising my precious husband with a Birthday Party this afternoon.  He has no idea that many of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be at the party to honor him.  Our daughter that lives in the city will be hosting the Bar B Que and Pool party that we have been planning for several months. We are busy canning the last of the garden vegetables and beginning to think about fall plantings again. We put some of our fall plantings in  today and everything looks so pretty.  We are almost finished with the new back porch and we sure are enjoying it.
