Sloppy Texan

We all love a Sloppy Joe, but here at the cottage our favorite is a Sloppy Texan. This is one of those awesome easy and quick recipes that feeds the family on a very busy day. I just about always double this recipe, so I can have some left for the freezer. It is great to have the filling just waiting in the freezer for one or two folks. This Sloppy Texan has all the flavors of Texas with just a little heat.

Directions
Butter your hamburger buns and sprinkle the garlic powder on top of the butter.
Place the buns on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 475 degrees 3 minutes on each side, just until the bun is starting to brown. Remove from the oven and set aside.
In a hot skillet, salt and pepper then brown the ground chuck.
Add the peppers, onions and garlic.
Reduce the heat to medium and cook the vegetables with the meat until the onions are clear.
Add the Chili Beans and stir to combine.
Add the Worcestershire Sauce, Ketchup, Tabasco, and Bar B Que Sauce.
Simmer the Sloppy Texan mix for 15 minutes and you are ready to serve.
Place a generous portion on the bottom of each bun and place the top over it.
I serve a little lime along side just to brighten the dish.
