September Food and Recipe Basket

September in our part of Texas is very much like the last part of summer. Our gardens are coming to an end and the farmers markets are running out of certain products. Our Herb Gardens are fully matured and we begin to gather the herbs that are to be dried. Our kitchen is in full canning and preserving mode, making sure that our pantry is full of the wonderful harvest of the season. We look to our harvest and canning to get us through the winter months with canned vegetables that are a staple here at the cottage.

  1. You are so smart to put up your summer bounty, I know your family will enjoy it in the winter months. We will be hot until November and my herbs have given up! Your little garden girl is adorable!
