Whats For Dinner Next Week, 8-30-25

  Early Edition It is Labor Day Weekend already! Our menu plan will be a little different today to include the  full weekend. We are looking forward to a very relaxing weekend with visits from a few friends and family. I am working on a meal plan to include some favorite recipes and some new ones as well. I am getting hungry just thinking about it all!

  Hello and welcome to Full Plate Thursday, 758! This is the last week of the month and the week we feature our Top Ten Views from last weeks party! I love these features every month it is a real indicator about what everyone is cooking currently. Grilled Italian Chicken

  This grilled chicken has a delicious Italian flavor and the recipe is so easy. We just marinate the chicken for about 2 hours then on the grill until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. This chicken is great for to serve a crowd or the family on a week night meal.


Whats For Dinner Next Week, 8-24-25

  Welcome to our weekly meal planning for next week. It is so nice on the screen porch today. We are starting to do some fall gardening and transition into fall. I have checked my inventories in the freezer, cold bins, and pantry. I am looking at the weather and now I am ready to find some recipes and make my shopping list. We will have a great week of transition foods as we move out of summer into fall.

Old Fashioned Egg Custard Pie

  When I think of Egg Custard, I think of pure comfort for the body and soul. The custard is smooth and silky with a wonderful fresh flavor and a hint of nutmeg. When I take my first bite of this pie, it takes me right back to my Grandmothers kitchen. It was always one of my favorites.

  Hello everyone, it is really good to be back after my short vacation. It is sure busy in our community, school has started. That means we will be looking a some great time saving, kid loving meal plans to include in our plans for the week. Seems like the summer flew by, as school starts earlier every year. On the other hand, the August weather tells us that summer is still here.

August Food and Recipe Basket: 2025

  We are so excited to welcome you to our August Food and Recipe Basket. A true Garden to Table publication. August in Texas is extreme heat most of the time. The heat means a struggle to keep the garden alive to have any kind of harvest. We do have some plants that will sustain the Texas heat and they are the winners every year. This is our big canning season, so we get those big canners out of storage and fill them up for just one more year.
