On Saturday April 29, 2017, around 4:30 in the afternoon, five tornado's roared through our area. One of the tornado's was a EF 4 and it started out only five miles from our cottage. Thank God we are ok and the cottage was not damaged, however the entire area has been affected. Thousands have lost their homes and four have lost their life. Please join with us in prayer for all these folks who will be rebuilding their homes and their lives.  Thank you and May God Bless You!

Background Story For Full Plate Thursday

When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the week. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".

  7. Dear Miz Helen - My heart sunk to see the photo of the destruction. That does tear a community up emotionally as well. I have written your request in my prayer journal and am glad to pray, and thank God for His wonderful blessings every day. Thanks for another great part.
