Slow Cooker Chili Dogs

This is a great Chili Dog recipe that we have been making for many years. We first developed this recipe when our kids were playing ball and we were very active with volunteer work in the concession stand for the ball games. I love this recipe for a large crowd for ballgame day or a fellowship party for the church. Of course one of the things I love is the Slow Cooker just put it all together and enjoy the event with your family and friends.

3 garlic cloves, minced
1- 6 ounce can tomato paste
1- 16 ounce jar of Peperoncini with 1/2 of the liquid

1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin

1 teaspoon pepper
6 to 8 Smoked Sausage links
Directions
Brown the ground chuck and drain the meat.
In a preheated Slow Cooker add, the sliced onions, chopped bell peppers, diced tomatoes, and stir well. Add the drained meat.
Add the tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, minced garlic and mix well until blended thoroughly.
Add the Peperoncini and the liquid stir until completely blended.
Cook on low for 3 1/2 hours, then add the Smoked Sausage Links, making sure the links are covered with the chili.
Continue to cook on low for 30 minutes, then reduce the heat to warm until serving time.
Serve on a bun with cheese and cold slaw on the side.
Recipe Tips
For a large crowd triple the recipe and cook in a Electric Roaster Cooker.
Enjoy!
