Background Story For Full Plate Thursday

When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the week. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".

  1. It is nearly Spring, Miz Helen! I've been enjoying the weather on my visit to California, and am hoping it will be Spring-like when I get home to the UK on Sunday. This week I'm sharing some Gluten Free Blackberry and Apple Scones I made with my friend Sandi, of Fearless Dining, who is based here in the Bay Area. Thank you so much for hosting and I wish you a very Happy St Patrick's Day!

Thanks so much for letting me know about the ads, they have been removed. I was having problems with them yesterday and I agree that is so irritating when that happen. Hope this will help, it sure ran better for me a minute ago. Have a nice day!
