Whats For Dinner Next Week 9-10-17

As I am writing this post, we are being told that one of the largest hurricane's in our history is about to hit Florida. There are horrible fires in California, Oregon, Washington, Montana and Earthquakes in Mexico.

So many folks in need of our thoughts and prayers.

We are having a great week here at the cottage, it has been cooler and we love being outdoors and enjoying the beginning of the nice fall temperatures to come. I have spent some time this week taking inventory of my pantry, freezer and cold bins in order to make are stocking list for the fall months. Knowing exactly what I have in stock helps me when making meal plans. I hope that you are getting back into the swing of making your meal plans to save time and money.

  1. Yes so many need our prayers, we've been dodging Irma in Alabama for a week, hopefully we stay out of her path. Ironically we are safer on the coast this time as our Birmingham home in now in the cone. Our coastal grocery store is closing early tomorrow and we are not even in the watch area! Met folks here today evacuated from South Carolina and Georgia. Terrible for all these displaced people. My sister in California had to cancel her trip to Oregon because of the fires and smoke up there. I am glad you are safe this time and creating wonderful dishes in your kitchen!

  2. Sometimes it all seems so overwhelming, doesn't it? We have a number of friends and family in Florida but all are safe, fortunately. Still, there will be so much damage to deal with.

As always, your menu looks delicious. We have been enjoying cooler temperatures so that chili looks especially tasty. I might have to put it my menu next week.

    Have a beautiful week!

  3. SO many yummy recipes! We were anxiously watching the hurricane coverage; both for family and friends that live down there and because we're heading there soon ourselves. Thankfully, they weren't as hard hit as predicted. But it does seem like there are so many natural disasters striking! We have family in Montana too dealing with the fires...
