How To Make Toffee Butter Pecan Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting
The batter is prepared with an electric mixer and is a thick batter.
I am using a Butter Pecan Cake box mix as the base of the cake and follow the directions on the box for a 9 X 13 cake size.
Fold in the toffee bits to the batter.
Pour the batter into a prepared 9 X 13 baking dish.
Bake according to package directions.
Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack. The cake will need to cool to room temperature before frosting.
While the cake is cooling, make the frosting. Cream the butter and cream cheese together then add the sugar.
When the cake is completely cooled, frost the cake with
the cream cheese frosting.
Spread the frosting evenly over the top of the cake,
swirl it just a bit if you like.
In a small mixing bowl mix together the topping of
toffee bits and chopped pecans.
Sprinkle the toffee bits and the chopped pecans over
the top of the frosting.
