Full Plate Thursday 6-30-11

We are so excited to have you join us today, welcome to Full Plate Thursday! Like many of you we are getting ready for the big 4th of July week end. We will have friends and family in and out all week end and of course we will all gather for the big fireworks display on the lake here. It is always so special to see the reflection of the fireworks dancing across the water with sound of America the Beautiful playing in the background. I can't wait to see what you have brought to share today, because my holiday begins with you!
Thank you so much for coming to share with us today and I hope you have a safe and fun filled week end celebrating FREEDOM and my special THANKS to those who make it possible!

Full Plate Thursday Background Story
When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the month. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".
I have just a few suggestions before you leave your dish and fill your plate.
  • Link directly to YOUR RECIPE  and not to your web page.
  • Scroll down to the button that says "click here to enter"
  • You will be asked to give your URL ( which will be your direct link to your post), the name of your recipe, and your email which we will not be able to see.
  • Then you will be asked to select a thumbnail from your post that will be uploaded to your entry.
  • Please include a link back to Full Plate Thursday, somewhere on your post. We will give you a gentle reminder if you forget...
  • Please leave me a comment before you leave the page and let me know that you are here, I want to be a good hostess.
  • Don't forget to visit with all the others, after all that is part of the fellowship that makes it so much fun, in addition to all the good food of course...
  • Grab The Full Plate Button if you like and take it home with you.
  • Now God Bless you and your food and everyone fill your plate!

  16. Mornin Miz Helen :-)
Ya know, I wasn't hungry when I signed on to your site... now however, I'm trying to think what I can make up as a really big breakfast. o;-p

That bacon cheese breakfast pie you featured, is gonna become a favorite around here. Yes, I'm that positive about it. See, it's very similar to Impossible Cheeseburger Pie - which all of us are huge fans of, And then there's the fact that it has bacon in it. YUM!!!

That grilled corn salad is both eye pleasing and taste buds tempting looking! Gonna have to try it!

And while my husband, and thus our sons, like their cold tea strongly brewed and then chilled, NO sweeteners, due to my husbands strong English ties (his grand father immigrated here at the age of 18), our daughter-in-love is going to be thrilled with that sweetened citrus ice tea!!! Me? I'll stick to my Pepsi o;-p

I'm now very hungry and gonna go fix myself something, and I haven't even started down through this week's link ups yet. Goodness!

    May your weekend flow smoothly!
