Nana's Macaroni Soup

My Granddaughter called the other day and asked if I would send her the family Macaroni Soup recipe, which I did of course. I hadn't made that soup in a very long time and it sounded so good, and brought back some great memories. I used to make it often for the kids it was really one of their favorites and it was real easy to sneak some vegetables in their meal plan for the day. We really enjoy the soup and so glad she reminded me of one of our favorites.

  1. Your soup looks like a bowl of comfort food, Miz Helen! I'm so glad that your granddaughter called to ask for the recipe. Now we all can enjoy it!

  2. I can't wait to make this, I love all your recipes. You should be on The Food Network. But I wonder about putting the cooked macaroni in the mix and cooking it 30 more minutes? Doesn't that make it soggy?

    1. Hi Noras Granddaughter,
You are really just cooking it on medium heat for 10 minutes and on very low heat for 20 minutes, just a little more than simmer just to give the ingredients time to marry the flavors. I am sure you could cut the cooking time down it you like, it wouldn't hurt a thing. Thanks so much for your kind comments I really appreciate you stopping by. Hope you enjoy the recipe, we just love it!
