Nana's Crab Cake Sliders With Dill Dressing

Nana's Crab Cake Sliders With Dill Dressing at Miz Helen's Country Cottage

Crab Cakes are a real favorite here at the cottage. I love the serving size of a slider and wanted to make these awesome Nana's Crab Cake Sliders, then added a delicious dill dressing that we will be using for many other recipes. The basic recipe for the Crab Cake Sliders is my Crab Cake recipe that I have used for years, we just made it smaller for the sliders. We used a toasted slider bun and started the foundation with a great Cole slaw with the dill dressing drizzled on top, then the delicious crab cake with more of the dressing drizzled on top, last we topped it with the toasted bun top. The crab cake can be served with or without the bun and would make a great appetizer served with the dill dressing. Our family loves this recipe!

2 large eggs, beaten

Vegetable Oil
For The Slider
Packaged Slider Rolls
Packaged Cole Slaw Mix
Directions
For The Dressing
Place all the dressing ingredients into a food processor and pulse until all the ingredients are blended together.
Place in the refrigerator until ready to use.
This dressing will keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
For The Crab Cakes
In a large mixing bowl place the chopped red pepper, onion, and crab.
Mix together the eggs and mayonnaise.
Pour the eggs and mayonnaise into the mixing bowl with the red pepper, onion, and crab.
Add the black pepper, cayenne, dill and Panko crumbs, then mix all the ingredients together until completely mixed.
Using a 1/2 cup scoop, scoop some of the crab mixture and form a thick patty.
In a very large skillet pour enough vegetable oil into the skillet to cover the bottom and heat to hot.
Place the crab cakes into the hot oil and cook about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Some of our family like their cakes really brown and some like them very light so brown according to your family preference.
Remove to a holding plate and let set for at least 10 minutes before serving.
For The Slider
Place the buns face up on a baking sheet and toast lightly under the broiler. Watch real close so you don't burn them.
On the toasted bottom of the slider bun place 1/4 cup Cole slaw mix.
Drizzle with the Dill Dressing.
Place a crab cake on top of the dressed Cole slaw.
Drizzle Dill Dressing on top of the crab cake.
Top With the toasted slider top bun.
Serve immediately.
Refrigerate any left over Dill Dressing or Crab Cakes.
Enjoy!
