Broccoli, Bacon & Fruit Salad
This is a Broccoli salad that checks all the boxes. It is a great year round salad that can be served for a special holiday dinner, a summer picnic or a simple family dinner. I have brought this salad to ladies luncheons and it is always a winner. This salad is packed with apples, red onion, raisins, toasted pecans, broccoli florets, and topped with crisp crumbled bacon. The salad can be served with or without the delicious dressing.
How To Make Broccoli, Bacon & Fruit Salad
Place the broccoli florets into a large mixing bowl.
For the dressing, in a small mixing bowl whisk together the mayonnaise or Miracle Whip, sugar, salt, pepper,
and Apple Cider Vinegar.
Add the crisp crumbled bacon and drizzle the dressing over the salad. The dressing can be served on the side,

Ingredients
The Salad
- 1/2 pound bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 5 cups small broccoli florets, cleaned and steamed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup red onion, chopped
- 1 Red Delicious Apple, chopped
- 1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
- 1 cup raisins
The Dressing
- 1 cup mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
- 1/2 cup sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
Instructions
The Salad
- In a hot skillet cook the bacon to a crisp stage. Remove from the skillet and drain on a paper towel.
- Clean and prepare the florets. Place the florets in a micro wave steamer and steam for 3 minutes. Remove the florets to a colander and drain. Lightly salt the florets and place in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the chopped red onions, Red Delicious apple, chopped, 1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped, 1 cup raisins.
- Toss the salad until well mixed. Top with the crisp crumbled bacon.
- Drizzle the dressing on top or serve on the side.
For The Dressing
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk the mayonnaise or Miracle Whip with the sugar, salt pepper, and Apple Cider Vinegar. Whisk until the dressing is completely incorporated.
- Drizzle over the top of the salad or serve on the side.
- Refrigerate before and after serving. Will last in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks.
