I am so excited to see you today at Full Plate Thursday! We are beginning some of our fall canning and end of summer preserving. We are having to irragate the grounds and gardens as we need rain and cooler tempartures. We are thrilled every week to present these wonderful talented bloggers post as features at our party. Background Story For Full Plate Thursday
When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the week. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".

  10. We are struggling with lack of rain right now too! It's either feast or famine for us with rain this year. But right now we are up to our elbows in a late crop of cucumbers!
    Thanks so much for featuring my Tender Slow Cooker Pork. Had a reader in Australia try it with a beef roast and said it was super tasty too!
