Gifts From Miz Helen's Kitchen at Miz Helen's Country Cottage

This will be the ninth year that I am publishing Gifts From Miz Helen's Kitchen, it has become an annual publication. I love receiving a homemade gift that someone has put so much of themselves, love and work into the finished product. We often time give gifts from our garden that is actually a year long effort. There are always the favorites every year and then we like to add some of the new things that folks will enjoy! It is with great joy that I present the gifts from our kitchen for this year.
Welcome To My Kitchen

Gifts From Miz Helen's Kitchen at Miz Helen's Country Cottage
When you step into my kitchen during the holiday season you will find my Retro Holiday Punch in a slow cooker just waiting for you to have a hot cup of punch.
Baked Goods From The Kitchen
I have made many different Cranberry Bread recipes
through the years and this recipe is my favorite!
This is a delicious recipe with Zucchini, pineapple and a hint of coconut, a very flavorful blend. This recipe will make 2 loaves and
can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Our Spice Cake Poppers are a perfect treat with morning coffee, afternoon tea, or a special treat anytime. This is a real simple recipe that is quick and easy and produces a great tasting bite of goodness.
A favorite southern treat is a praline, so for this recipe I am combining a nice spice cookie with a praline topping making this a very special cookie!
Pfeffernusse (Pepper Nuts),
say Christmas Cookies at our cottage.
Bite size is perfect for the little hands and perfect for someone who is watching the calories. A nice basket of these cookies will make a great gift for the holidays, sure hope you enjoy them.
We love these little mini donuts, they are just the perfect little treat, just a couple of bites, well of course you can have more than one donut, (I sure did)!
Christmas Candy From The Kitchen
My Mother was a great cook and she came from a long history of great southern cooks. She like any good cook had her favorite things that she liked  to make. She loved sweets and she loved making candy at Christmas and of course we all loved eating it. One of her favorites that we all looked forward to was her Divinity. In honor of my Mother at this Christmas Time I am pleased to present her Divinity.
Rocky Road Fudge
When we get into the holiday season we begin to think of making candy for our family and friends.
This is a great recipe and a lot of fun to make with a special Granddaughter or a friend. These little caramels will make a great gift for any occasion and
disappear before you can wrap them all.
When I Am Making Candy
I Make Sure That
All The Ingredients Are Ready and Waiting Because You Have To Work Really Fast When Making Candy, There Will Be No Time To Stop
The Process and Gather The Ingredients.
From The Garden To The Jar
Our Canned Basil, Onion & Garlic Stewed Tomatoes are a great addition to our canning pantry.
This Mustard Seed Pickle Recipe has been in our family for several generations now. Some people call this recipe Bread and Butter Pickles, but my family has always called them Mustard Seed Pickles.
This is a great soup recipe that can be used as a stand alone soup or as a soup base. The soup base is perfect to add other garden vegetables and or a meat protein there are so many delicious possibilities.
I have a list of folks
who requested the soup for Christmas!
I plan on using this jam on with Bruschetta with a little Parmesan Cheese on Top. Another appetizer idea will be a block of cream cheese with the jam on top and garnish with fresh basil. And last but maybe the best, a Tomato Basil Jam and Mozzarella Sandwich, toasted (of course) with the cheese melted and running off the sides, just delicious!
I love to give a little something from my kitchen at Christmas time, but I usually start that process in the middle of the summer. It is really nice when the holidays come to have all this sitting in the pantry ready to go. Of course I will dress the jar up with a pretty little ribbon and a nice tag.

This Jelly is the perfect color for the season and the
sweet and savory flavor is fabulous.
We have lots of Rosemary in our gardens so
it is truly from Garden to Jar.
Every year we like to make a very special canned good to share at Christmas with friends and family. This year we have made this beautiful Cranberry Jelly.

You bring joy to me all the year long
and it is brings me  still more joy to share these
Gifts From Miz Helen's Kitchen
with all of you!
I am wishing you and your family a very
Merry Christmas and Joyous New Year!
Peace and Joy
