Apple Nut Chicken Salad
Our Apple Nut Chicken Salad is a great fall and winter chicken salad recipe. This is a great chicken salad for any season, and perfect for the fall and winter season. I have served this chicken salad for luncheons, and taken it to many a covered dish event. Several folks have asked for the recipe, so I decided to share it with all of you. The chicken salad is delicious and has a perfect balance of fall and winter seasons. It can be served on a lettuce leaf, or a tea sandwich. It is a winner every time.

How To Make Apple Nut Chicken Salad
We will start this recipe with 3 cups of
cooked chicken and chopped fine.
Add 1 Gala Apple with, chopped fine.
Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon Poultry Season, and 1 teaspoon thyme. Stir well until the seasons are fully incorporated.
and 1/2 cup honey.
Stir in the chopped walnuts.

Apple Nut Chicken Salad
A great fall and winter recipe, although it is delicious the year round. A great crowd pleaser every time!
Ingredients
- 3 cups chicken, cooked, chopped fine
- 1 Gala Apple, skin on, chopped fine
- 2 cups celery, chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon poultry season
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped medium
- Lettuce leaves for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl place the chopped, cooked chicken. Add the chopped apple, and chopped celery. Toss with the salt, pepper, poultry season and thyme.
- Add the mayonnaise, sour cream and honey and mix well. last add the walnuts and mix well.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Option to serve on a lettuce leaf.
Notes
Optional suggestions for serving:
Serve individual serving on a lettuce leaf.
Use as a sandwich spread.
Great for sliders.
Serve on crackers for great appetizers.
