Whats For Dinner Next Week, 7-13-25
The events of the last seven days here in Texas makes me pause and be extra grateful to be here with all of you today. Meal planning here at the cottage will seem just a little more special to be able to prepare meals for my family and friends.
Cottage News
On July 4, 2025 my husband was taken to the Emergency Room and later admitted to the hospital. On July 5, 2025 he had surgery to stop the bleeding in his stomach. It has been a journey. We feel sure that God assembled a very special team of surgeons and health care workers to bring him through the ordeal. He is home now and recovering. Our thanks to our family, friends and many of you for your prayers and outreach of support.
On the very same day, we experienced the most horrible tragedy in the Hill Country of Texas. A now historical flood took the lives of well over a hundred and still that many missing and not accounted for at this date. The grief of this loss of life is heavy in our state and unimaginable in the hearts of the families and friends of those who will never come home again. God be with all us as we continue on life's journey lifting each other up along the way.

Oh what an ordeal; I am so glad that your husband is on the road to recovery now. We have been thinking so much of those families and the community and all that they have had to deal with with the awful flooding.

Am I missing something? I cannot see any red wine listed in the ingredient list for the Beef in Red Wine Sauce.
ReplyDeleteYTS Mom,
DeleteYou are correct she did not list the amount of wine in the ingredient list. She did however say in the directions pour enough wine to get the crumbles from the bottom of the skillet. When I have made it is has been to taste and I used about a cup. Thanks so much for stoppinig by and enjoy your day and happy cooking!
