Old Fashion Goulash Soup

There are times when an old fashion bowl of Goulash Soup really fills the stomach and the soul. This is one of those times and I could not resist making a pot of one of my families favorite comfort soups to share with you. This is a recipe that is so easy to put together and has a special blend of flavor that makes it delicious! This is one of those recipes that can come to the family dinner table or to a potluck soup supper, it is a winner every time!

Mississippi Vegetable Beef Soup

Our delicious soup recipe is a result of left over Mississippi Pot Roast. Some of the best family kitchen recipes come from the left overs or an ingredient exchange of some kind. We have put together a combination of fresh vegetables, some of the left over beef with some great broth to make this outstanding soup. I love soup in any season, but when we get to early fall and winter I love my stews and  soups. This recipe will definitely be on my favorites list.

Cajun Collards and Sausage Gumbo

Cajun Collards and Sausage Gumbo is a perfect recipe for our winter garden collards. We have a very good harvest of collards, they really love this cold weather. This recipe is a combination of fresh garden vegetable's, some sausage and Cajun seasonings to give it that kick. Then we add a good roux and broth giving us a great base for these awesome fresh from the garden collard greens. We are serving this very flavorful combination over rice, this is so delicious it will have you coming back for seconds.

Brisket Soup

Sometimes in bad weather we can't get out to our smoker or grill so we will make our brisket in the oven. It is delicious but we usually have some left over brisket to slice out for sandwiches or make our Brisket Soup. We started making our Brisket Soup years ago when we had a house full of family and some left over Brisket. As it turns out it was a big hit with the family and we have been making it ever since. This soup has great flavor and is just perfect to serve a crowd for a ballgame day or a family movie night.
