All in one pan a flavor filled pan of Kielbasa with a mix of vegetable hash for this Sheet Pan Sausage and Vegetable Hash recipe. This recipe has a very special dressing that makes it a little different. We love this recipe and very rarely have any left overs that's how good it is. The preparation time is short and it takes a very short time in the oven then serve up this pan of goodness!

When my family wants a great pot of chili and my day is to busy to let it simmer all day, I head for the Instant Pot. I converted this recipe for the Instant Pot and it is every bit as good as the one that simmers all day. This is a Tex-Mex Chili that has all the wonderful Tex-Mex seasons made the Texas way. No we don't put beans in authentic Texas chili, however this is Tex-Mex so yes we did use the beans. We will be serving this for a family dinner, game day gatherings, and it is great for a friendly chili cook off!

We are having so much fun at the cottage, our daughter is visiting us. We love to look through recipes, make meal plans, cook, brunch on the screen porch and of course we have to do a little shopping. We had a lot of fun putting this meal plan together and taking inventory of whats on hand to make the recipes that we choose, then of course we will have to go into the village and do a little shopping. We have a trip planned for the Apple Orchard and can't wait to use some fresh apples in a recipe.

October brings so many delicious recipes, fairs and festivals. Oktoberfest is one of my favorite festival's and our Oktoberfest Pie is perfect for that celebration. We are going to have a very special week here at the cottage. Our daughter from Colorado will be here for a visit. I have already asked her for some of her favorite recipes that will go on the meal plan. It is really a lot of fun to cook the favorites when family and friends come for a visit. Meal Plans are very important when we are expecting guest, it just helps to keep everything more organized so I can spend more quality time with our special guest.

Tex Mex Breakfast Skillet is a perfect skillet full of Tex Mex flavor that will satisfy any breakfast or brunch lover. We often times have a late breakfast or brunch on the weekends especially when we have guest. This skillet has a great potato base, with Tex Mex spice, some eggs, tortilla's and it's delicious! This is a recipe that goes in one skillet and everyone needs to get to the table because it sure won't take long before it is served. 

My Pumpkin Blondie's are a very special treat. This could easily be a snack cake, it is so moist and the flavors of pumpkin and special spices make this a great recipe. I made this batch of Blondie's for a committee meeting and did not have a single one left, they really are that good. So if you are serving them for a function be sure and put one back for yourself, you may not have enough. 

We got some nice rain, certainly not the 43 inches that Winnie Texas has had. We have friends that have gone to the coast to help evacuate folks. The rain has brought cooler temperatures giving us a true feel for fall. According to the calendar tomorrow is officially fall. I have been looking at Slow Cooker recipes, Instant Pot recipes and some delicious fall recipes to go on or meal plan for the week. I am starting my fall pantry inventory, making sure that I am stocked up with the staples that I use the most in the fall. We live in the country so we can't always just run up to the store on the corner, the store on the corner is several miles away, next I will inventory the freezer to make sure that we will have plenty of the frozen foods that we use the most of in the fall. 3 major items that I check out before starting a weekly meal plan is the weather, pantry and freezer inventory.

I can't think of to many recipes that bring as much comfort as Chicken and Dumplings. This recipe for Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings gives the same flavor as old fashioned Chicken and Dumplings without the labor intensive preparation of that recipe. Just put this in the slow cooker and later in the day the magic happens, just add the dumplings and before to long you have a bowl of delicious goodness! This is a perfect family meal and goes great to a covered dish event.

I get to sit on the screen porch today in a nice cool breeze to make this meal plan. Not only is it cooler we got RAIN and I am so excited about that! It sure helps to get in the mood for fall when it starts to cool off a bit and more of a taste for some awesome fall meal plans. Even Max got excited about the rain and found the nearest mud whole to inspect, keeping in mind that Max is all white, yes it was fun. I need to get busy on this meal plan or I won't have it ready for you!
