  I am so happy you stopped by to have a visit with us today. I am in my happy place sitting on the screen porch. Thank goodness we have fans out here, else I would just melt in the heat. I had a great birthday last week and made a few decisions. Right now we are going to make these awesome meal plans for our week.

  Hello everyone, working on our meal plans from the screen porch today. I am definitely coming to you from my happy place. We have so many wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables around this time of the year. It is tempting to have a veggie plate for every meal, well maybe one meal at least!

  Welcome Full Plate Thursday, 753! Summer is officially just around the corner and we are feeling it here. Come back to the patio we have all the tables set up with the fans going. There is plenty of iced tea and lemonade, grab a cold beverage and find your place at the table. We are going to have so much good food here to enjoy!

  Our Slow Cooker Ranch Casserole is a great recipe for a busy day. This recipe brings in all the Tex-Mex flavors that we love here at the cottage. Just put all the delicious ingredients into the slow cooker and go on about your day. When you are ready to serve just load your favorite bowl with the extra goodness.

The events of the last seven days here in Texas makes me pause and be extra grateful to be here with all of you today.  Meal planning here at the cottage will seem just a little more special to be able to prepare meals for my family and friends.

  Good morning, I sure hope that you are having a fantastic 4th of July weekend! It is a great time of the year to plan amazing meals with so many fresh fruits and vegetables. It is plenty hot here and we had so much rain, very humid. I am looking to some cook-outs and cool sides. My recipes are ready and I am all about making my list for the garden and farmers market's.

  What's In Season and How Do I Use It? J uly is here with its parades, fireworks and great fresh foods. Many of the foods that we have had in our basket for the past two months are still producing and can be found at many of the farmers markets.  Some of the recipes that I will share with you this month have been passed down in our family for generations, I hope you enjoy them.
