Baked Hush Puppies

A number of years ago in an effort to prepare and present a healthier menu to my family I developed these baked hush puppies. Part of a good southern menu is catfish, cole slaw, and hush puppies. These are not the same as deep fried Hush Puppies, but they are really good. We find them a great little grab and go snack in addition to a healthier Hush Puppy. I have had several request to publish my recipe so today we have Baked Hush Puppies.

  4. What a great idea. I'll make these Friday with baked fish. I love fried everything, but not to healthy.

I'm still trying to find a way to have enough Pickle Pot Pickles left to can. Maybe I could talk everyone into a Baked Hush Puppy instead.

  14. I love the idea of a "better for you" hush puppy. They are one of my favorite things to eat with seafood, but the fried version is just not on my diet.
