Background Story For Full Plate Thursday

When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the month. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".

    Congrats on getting the dot.com.
Tell me, please. What's the advantage of getting it.? I know a lot of people love having it but never have known why. Does Blogger still keep your blog like they do if you are a blogspot.or does your blog go on YOUR hard drive.?

    1. Hi B.J.,
For me the advantage of having the dot com was because someone else had bought it and I didn't want them starting a site with my name. When I was on blogspot, blogger owned the dot com and the blogspot is a sub domain of blogger. The blog is now hosted by another company, it doesn't go on my hard drive and I did stay on the blogger frame because I just like it, and I am familiar with all of it. I will tell you I have learned way more than I ever thought possible with this venture. At the end of it all, I am very excited to have completed the task and no one else can have my name now.
Thanks for stopping by , it is always good to see you!

  25. Congratulations on the move Miz Helen! Again an amazing selection of recipes that everyone shared. Since the Northwest is so perfect in the summer, I love this season best. Hope it isn't too hot in Texas, but maybe you'll be spending some time in Oregon this summer, too. Have a great week! I shared my favorite kale salad.
