March has arrived, and feels like spring here already. A perfect time to start looking at our St. Patricks Day Plans for food and fun. We sure had a great party last week with our Top Ten Features and this week we have a whole new group of features from very talented bloggers that I hope you will stop by and see. Every week I Tweet this party several times, put it on facebook, pin it to a special board and then the features are pinned to a special features board. We really try to see that your post are seen by as many folks as possible. I look forward to seeing what you will be sharing with us this week, it is so good to see you here!

Full Plate Thursday Background Story

When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the month. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".

  4. What a lot of wonderful features, Miz Helen! I love the St Patrick's Day cake with the surprises and 'gold' inside. This week I'm sharing a Blood Orange Pound Cake, perfect for using blood oranges which are in season just now - although of course you can use ordinary oranges as well. Thank you for hosting the party. Take care and have a lovely weekend.
