Strawberry Skillet Cake

Strawberry Skillet Cake at Miz Helen's Country Cottage
Our Strawberry Skillet Cake is just like the one that my Mother made when I was a young girl. I just took her basic recipe and dressed it up a little to make it a delicious dessert that can be a dessert for a casual family dinner or a dinner party for friends. Strawberries say spring and summer fresh, although today we are fortunate to be able to get strawberries most of the year round. We love this dessert and hope you will enjoy it with your friends and family. To honor my Mother I am using her old black iron skillet that I got after she passed away, of course I treasure that skillet.

  6. How lovely to make your Mother's recipe in her skillet, Miz Helen! I love it when I can make family recipes in the pans I can remember them being made in, or serve them on the same dishes. This is such a wonderful recipe for this time of year as well. Our local strawberries are just beginning to appear. Your Strawberry Skillet Cake looks and sounds so delicious.
