Whats For Dinner Next Week,2-21-21 at Miz Helen's Country Cottage

What a time to plan some "Storm Meal Plans", oh my goodness we are sure getting some practice here in Texas. Thankfully, our power has been restored after a week of camping out here inside the cottage.  There was not enough power to operate the in-take pumps at our water company, so we had no water for a week, thankfully the water was restored last night.

We are still under a boil order, but at least we can take a hot shower and have utility water. We have plenty of drinking water, and could boil the water it need be. We had bottled water for drinking and cooking, which we have mostly used food from the freezer that I had prepared. So here we are again at another week of winter weather, unsure of exactly what we will have to work with, we will be writing our meal plan whenever the internet is available,  hopefully we will be able to complete it. Some of the things I have been grateful for this past week, the cooked frozen casseroles, stews and soups that we had in the freezer. We were able to heat them in the micro wave whenever we had a short power time. We had a great stocked pantry with a good frozen food inventory, that made all the difference. this is the list I used to stock up: Stock Your Pantry, Stay Calm, Be Ready: Emergencies

With Cabbage, Onions and Apples
Tossed Green Salad
Left Over
Cheesy Jalapeno Cornbread
Left Over
Maple Pie
Tray of Different Toppings and Different Crackers
Over
Steamed Rice

Left Over
Texas Pecan Praline Cookies
