What's In Season and How Do I Use It

September is a great month for fresh foods and the season invites us to turn to more fall like recipes. If the temperatures are normal with the normal amount of rain, our area will produce a full line up of the fruits and vegetables. What I really look at in September are the foods that will not be producing that much longer and I turn to the preserving and canning of those predominantly spring and summer products.
