Whats For Dinner Next Week, 7-19-20 at Miz Helen's Country Cottage
Meal plans right now are a little different for us at the cottage since my husband is recovering from Covid 19. I had asked him if he would like to pick out some of the meal plans that I would be making for him next week, so this is what he did. I think it helped him to get his mind off of his recovery for just a bit. Some of the time he has had no taste, I think it is just what looks good to him. So together we have put together some meal plans that look to be very tasty and of course some comfort food recipes.

Many thanks to all of you for your positive thoughts and prayers for my husband and me as we battle this awful virus. So far he continues to make progress and with the protacol that I have set up, I am doing well so far. Thanks so much for stopping by to see us today and hope you will come back to see us real soon!
Peace and Joy

  1. My husband's cousin lost her sense of smell/ taste for a bit when she had Covid too. She said she still has periods where it feel like it conks out on her randomly even though she had been recovered for a few months now. So weird! Another tasty looking menu; that chicken noodle casserole just screams comfort food to me!

  2. Wishing your husband a speedy recovery!
I should menu plan like this, I kinda do, in my head knowing what I have available. Before the pandemic I would be more loose, and just pop into the stores on a whim. Now I really on my heavily stocked freezer and pantry.
I am pinning some of your recipes, poblanos, bread, and the sausage and biscuits.

  3. that is good news that he can help you menu plan Miz Helen, I am sending constant prayers for his recovery. Your Waldorf Salad is one of my favorites along with the Sausage & Biscuit with Gravy dish... I hope he can taste all these yummy things this week!
