Folks are enjoying the harvest from Victory gardens more and more. Be sure and bring some of your canned goods to share with everyone, we have a canning and preserved feature that will be here for the season. Thursday is a bright spot in my week and I always look forward to seeing what you will share with us for the party.

Full Plate Thursday Background Story
When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the month. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".

  1. I wish I had a garden and I wish I knew how to can- seems like very good skills to have in these times! Butl we just returned from Snow birding in Florida- and I actually have no space to plant.. But I do have perennial herbs that pop up each year in my pots on my deck. Thanks for hosting and have a good week.
