Old Fashioned Baked Lasagna

It is my pleasure to share one of our favorites here at the cottage. This recipe was originally printed in my cookbook, Miz Helen's Kitchen Table.

Italian Noodle Bake

This is a delicious retro recipe that I made for my kids when they were in high school. It was always a great recipe to go to when they would bring 3/4 of the football team home for dinner. It has great Italian flavor and is a real easy recipe to make even at the last minute. This is a great go to recipe still to this day!

Lemon Skillet Chicken With Orzo and Spinach

I love the fresh flavor that lemon gives this delicious Lemon Skillet Chicken With Orzo and Spinach. This is one of those great family meals that is easy to make and goes on the table in a short time. I have even served this for an informal dinner for friends and it was great, everyone loved it. The chicken has a great marinade that gives the entire dish a very special flavor. The Orzo and the Spinach complete the dish making it a true one dish dinner.

One Pot Chicken Piccata Spaghetti

One Pot Chicken Piccata Spaghetti is a delicious creamy chicken piccata with delicate seasons and a great flavor. Prepared in one pot makes this a great recipe for a family dinner that is easy to prep and cooks up in a short time to get on the table for a hungry group. When I was a young homemaker and beginning to cook for my family we called these recipes one dish dinners, and it is still a one dish dinner. We just add some garlic bread and a salad and it is a great dinner.

Pizza Casserole

This Pizza Casserole has seven layers of Italian flavor. This casserole is great to serve on a big game day or a Sunday Fun Day. I have taken this casserole to parties and served it to family, everybody loves this casserole. One of the things I love about the casserole is that it freezes well up to three months. I usually put it into serving portions and freeze for individual meals, they are a perfect size for the lunch bag gang. This casserole is a great go-to recipe for a crowd.

Nana's Mac N Cheese

I was helping one of my Granddaughters with some recipes the other day and she wanted my Mac N Cheese recipe. After she asked me for it I realized that I did not have it on my blog yet, so I got busy and am posting it today. I can't remember how many years ago I started making this recipe, but through the years I have changed it from time to time as new ingredients come on the market, but the basics of the recipe have remained the same. We still love our Mac N Cheese and this is definitely one of our family favorites.

Tex Mex Pasta Salad

I love a salad that can be the star of lunch or dinner and that is exactly what this recipe is. It has a wonderful base of pasta and chicken filled with Tex Mex flavors. This is a great salad to take to a Pot Luck lunch or dinner and it is a winner at the family dinner every time!  I used chicken that I keep on hand in the freezer, I grill or poach the chicken, cut it up, package it in 3 cup bags, then freeze it. I can always put together a great chicken dish from the little freezer bags.

Cabbage, Sausage and Pasta Skillet

Cabbage and Sausage are a great combination of flavor and I added a little pasta to the skillet and a secret sauce to make it a great one pot meal.  There are some combinations that just work and we love this skillet of goodness with or without the pasta. This is a recipe that can be on your table in very little time to feed a hungry family. We have really enjoyed this recipe and sure hope you enjoy it!

One Pot Garden Pasta with Chicken

I remember my Mother and her friends called a recipe like this a One Dish Dinner and today we call it a One Pot Meal. It is really great to have a go to recipe for a very busy day when there is no extra time to be spent in the kitchen. This One Pot Meal, uses fresh vegetables right out of the garden or the farmers market. A harvest in the pot, add some chicken, and this is a fabulous One Pot Meal in less than one hour. This is one of our new recipes from Garden to Table, and sure hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Ravioli Lasagna

When you don't have much time to create a great dinner dish, then it is Ravioli Lasagna to the rescue. The flavor of this dish is delicious and it takes very little time to put it together. Often times we have unexpected dinner guest and this is a dish that I recently served my dinner guest and had them coming back for seconds, it is really that good. This is a great dish for those busy days when extra friends and family come to the table to share a meal.

Bacon and Greens Pasta

I love a great recipe that is quick and easy with just a few ingredients that pack big flavor. This is one of those recipes that has just that, it has big flavor and can be on the table in less than 30 minutes. This recipe calls for greens, and we have several different kind of greens in our garden that I have used in this recipe, kale, mustard greens, collards and spinach. All of the greens are good with just one or mixed together, but today I am using some fresh spinach with some cherry tomatoes that came from the garden this morning. Mac N Pimento Cheese

When my friend Amy Green of Simply Sugar and Gluten Free came out to visit me one weekend, she said what is the secret in your pantry? I told her to look in the pantry and see if she could figure it out, when she finished her inventory, she declared it was the pimento, because I had more pimento on my pantry shelf than they have in the super market. (We laughed and laughed) She was right I am apt to put pimentos in anything, we just love them. Another dish we love is Mac N Cheese, so why not make a dish that made both of these a star. Hope you love it as much as we do. Ziti Bake

We just love Ziti and this is a recipe that I have been making for years.  A friend had stopped by for dinner the other day and we were having this dish for dinner, after dinner she asked if she could have the recipe, guess what I didn't have it written down. Ziti Bake is a very flavorful Italian pasta casserole. The sauce for this Ziti has tiny little meatballs!  So this one is for all my friends who wanted the recipe, I  finally wrote it down, enjoy!

Mac N Chicken

Who doesn't love a great Mac N Cheese so we are combining that with chicken and a lot of flavor to make this delicious Mac N Chicken.  This is a dish that can be perfect for a weeknight or dressed up for a company dinner. I had so much fun developing this recipe and sure hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
